SQUASH (Butternut) Sweetmax F1 Seeds, Average 10 seeds
This British-bred variety produces top-quality, well-shaped fruits. It sets its fruit early to make the most of the sun we receive. Each plant can produce up to three squashes, each up to 3kg, and with such a small seed cavity there is little waste.
Sow indoors: March-May
Sow/Plant outdoors: May-June
Sow indoors for surest results, 1.5cm deep, on edge, in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days.
Or sow outdoors for ease, where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 90cm between sowing positions.
